For spa lovers and for those who want to relax and take a dip in the pool during any season, Calidario offers you a unique experience: a natural swimming pool with thermal water at 36 degrees and a wellness centre where you can relax and pamper yourself.

Campiglia Marittima

The medieval village of Campiglia Marittima is 400 m from our B&B and can be easily reached by foot. There you can visit the fortress and the Praetorian Palace and enjoy a breathtaking view over the valley - Val di Cornia - and the Tuscan archipelago.


Located at a distance of 12 km, the medieval village was a unique Etruscan settlement. The fortress and the village within the walls, built on the ruins of the ancient Etruscan city, overlook the beautiful Gulf of Baratti. Places to visit include the archaeological park and the Etruscan museum.


Baratti is one of the most enchanting bays of Tuscany. The Gulf of Baratti provides a natural shelter to the harbour and to swimmers in the summer that not only want to take advantage of its beaches, but the countless nature trails that can crossed by foot or by mountain bike.


The medieval village of Suvereto is 7 km away and is a settlement that dates back to the 10th century. Its walls and its towers guard architectural treasures such as the fortress, the Town Hall and the Franciscan monastery. The area is famous for its wine.


Bolgheri (20 km away), founded by the Counts della Gherardesca, is renowned for its double row of cypress trees in memory of Giosuè Carducci (a poet and Italian writer). Bolgheri is also famous throughout the world for its 'super Tuscan' wines such as Sassicaia and Ornellaia.

Massa Marittima

At a distance of 30 km, it offers many historical sites to visit. It has one of the most beautiful piazzas in Italy and features the Saint Cerbonius cathedral dating back to the 12th century - an example of one the most important monuments of Romanesque art in the Maremma in Tuscany.
